Wealth Management Systems Inc. (“WMSI”) respects your privacy and is committed to safeguarding your personal information. Please, read the following Privacy Policies and Procedures Statement (“Statement”) to learn more about our privacy policies and practices. I. Information We May Collect:
WMSI may collect the following information about its website visitors:
- WMSI does not collect personal information about anyone who is merely visiting or browsing our website.
- If you choose to respond to our online surveys, send us an email message, open an account with us, or use any tools on our website, WMSI may request that you voluntarily supply us with personal information such as your name, address, birth date, gender, ZIP code, occupation, industry, personal interests, email address and information about your assets. If you send an email to WMSI, we may retain a copy of the message in order to respond to your inquiry and to provide any requested information or services.
- If you elect to use our financial services, WMSI may receive personal information about you automatically from your retirement plan administrator or its agents. In addition, we may collect your personal information from the applications or forms you complete from our website. Examples of personal information we collect include your name, marital status, birth date, mailing address, email address, telephone number, social security number, driver’s license number, names and dates of birth of any beneficiary, occupation, employer name and address, retirement plan account balance, and the IRA rollover account that you select or establish through our website.
II. Parties to Whom We May Disclose:
We carefully control and limit the sharing of your nonpublic personal information. WMSI does not rent, sell, or share your personal information with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products and services that you have specifically requested. In order to effect transactions that you request and authorize, we may, however, disclose any of the above nonpublic personal information about you to the following parties:
- We may disclose your nonpublic personal information to our affiliates. Our affiliates are the companies that control, are controlled by, or are under common control with WMSI. Our affiliates follow the same privacy practices as described here.
- We may also disclose your nonpublic personal information to nonaffiliated financial institutions that are involved in your transaction such as asset management companies, IRA providers, retirement plan providers, and annuities providers. WMSI does not control the nonaffiliated third parties, and thus is not responsible for their privacy practices and policies. Once you submit account application information to open an IRA account with a financial institution through our website, you become a customer of that financial institution and they will use your information according to their customer privacy policy. Thus, WMSI strongly urges you to familiarize yourself with the privacy policies of the nonaffiliated third party before authorizing WMSI to perform any transactions with that party.
- WMSI may also share your nonpublic personal information with companies that perform administrative or other services on our behalf, such as printers, web services, or services that verify your identity and mailing address. Before disclosing your personal information to these companies, WMSI enters into contractual agreements with them that prohibit these companies from disclosing or using your nonpublic personal information other than to carry out the purpose for which the disclosure was made.
- WMSI does not otherwise share nonpublic personal information about any customer with anyone, except as required or permitted by law. If at any time we are required by law or by a legal process to release personal information, we will cooperate fully but will share only the information that we are required or authorized to share. We may also share your information when we believe that disclosure of your information is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action against illegal activities and suspected fraud.
III. Information About Former Consumers
We retain information about our former consumers for our records. We also retain records of transactions that you perform using our website. WMSI does not share this information with anyone, except as required or permitted by law.
IV. Explanation of Consumer Rights
Pursuant to Federal law, a consumer has a right to opt out of the disclosure of his or her personal information to third parties. In other words, a consumer may direct a financial institution not to disclose the consumer’s personal information. However, in order for WMSI to effect your transaction, we must disclose your personal information to other parties involved in the transaction. Accordingly, if you choose to opt out of the disclosure, WMSI will not be able to complete your transaction.
V. Policies and Procedures With Respect to Protecting the Confidentiality and Security of Your Personal Information
We protect the integrity and privacy of your information in many ways such as, for example:
- Restricting access to your personal information to only those employees who need to know that information to provide services to you. WMSI’s employees are instructed and trained to use strict standards of care in handling your personal information; any employee who does not conform to our privacy rules is subject to disciplinary sanctions that include dismissal.
- Maintaining physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information. These include, among other things, using industry standard techniques such as firewalls, encryption, site-monitoring, and other technologies.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personally identifiable information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information we receive from or transmit to you or your retirement plan recordkeeper. This is especially true of information you may transmit to us via email. We have no way of protecting that information until it reaches us. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our servers.
Our web sites may contain links to other sites, including those of our business partners. Please remember that when you use a link to go from our site to another web site, our Privacy Policy is no longer in effect. Please familiarize yourself with the privacy rules and policies of these websites before proceeding.
VI. To California Users: Notice Required By State Law
We retain information we receive through our websites, including information you give us to facilitate opening of accounts, information we receive from your retirement plan administrator or its agents, and records of transactions you perform. We share this information with affiliated and nonaffiliated parties only as necessary to process the transactions you request through our services, or as required by law. Such parties may include those who provide services to us in connection with your requests or who are involved in providing you the services you request. We will share information with government agencies and law enforcement as necessary.
VII. Changes to This Privacy Policy
From time to time WMSI may change its privacy policies or procedures described in this Statement; if so, we will post those changes on our web site(s).
